Ricky Tjong-a-Tjoe
Founder
Ricky's athletic journey began in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where he played soccer at CTO '70 and tried his hand at field hockey, Muay Thai, and basketball before his older brother introduced him to flag football with the Amsterdam Panthers. That love of football brought him to the United States, where he enrolled at Boise High School and earned First-team All-State and All-Conference honors as a senior in 2008, drawing offers from Boise State, Oregon, Washington State, and others. He played defensive lineman at Boise State from 2010 to 2013, appearing in 43 games and recording 128 tackles, before signing with the San Diego Chargers in 2014 and later playing in the European League of Football with Rhein Fire, plus earning international caps for the Netherlands national team. Ricky founded The Bridge Athletics to give every athlete the clear path, tools, and resources he had to find on his own, so they can maximize their opportunities and reach college athletics.
