The Bridge Athletics ("we," "us," or "our") operates the-bridge.app and related pages (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
Information We Collect
- Account data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
- Profile data: Athlete-submitted information such as name, sport, class year, high school, position, GPA, film links (Hudl/YouTube/Vimeo), and optional items like height, weight, SAT/ACT, and social handles.
- Usage data: Basic analytics (page interactions, buttons clicked) to improve the Service.
- Purchase data: We use Stripe Checkout for token purchases. Stripe collects payment information directly; we receive purchase confirmations (no card numbers are stored on our servers).
How We Use Information
- To operate the Service, save your recruiting profile, and enable outreach to college coaches.
- To display relevant coaches based on your selected sport and support your email outreach.
- To provide tokens, handle purchases, and prevent abuse/fraud.
- To communicate with you about updates, purchases, and support.
How We Share Information
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) for login and data storage and Stripe for payments.
- Coaches: When you choose to email a coach, your email is composed client‑side and sent via your email provider (e.g., Gmail). We do not relay your emails.
- We do not sell personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your profile and account data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see “Your Choices”).
Your Choices
- Access/Update: Edit your profile any time on /profile.
- Deletion: Email Thebridge.ricky@gmail.com from the address on your account to request deletion. We will confirm and remove your data from Firestore (subject to lawful retention requirements).
- Marketing: You can opt out of non‑essential messages by replying “unsubscribe” or using provided controls.
International Users
By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in the United States. We apply reasonable safeguards consistent with this Policy.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for student‑athletes typically ages 13+. If you are under 13, do not use the Service. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Security
We use industry‑standard measures (including Firebase security rules) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
